Right now I am using the one inch web straps with buckles. I take them off each time and throw them in a bucket and when I put the cover back on I have to put them back through the loop and adjust time to size. It's not a big deal but it is enough of a big deal that if I think it isn't going to rain I'll leave most of the straps off.
One day when I was in a hurry I left the straps in the loops. When I put the cover back on It wasn't as big a deal to just clip the buckles together.
Then I was at the boat store and saw a display for z shaped hook that held the straps on the loops but they were out of them. I'm trying to find them now with google but so far no luck.

My only complaint is the are plastic so don't know how much action they can take. I would advise to keep an eye on them and replace often. To bad they are not made of stainless steel coated with vinyl. It's a good idea though and I can see how they would be very helpful.
