My clears are attached to the outside surface of the wind deflector hard plastic by close-mounted press studs. Although a good inch or more of overlap was allowed, rain is blown up under the overlap and pours over the wind deflector. How should the clears have been fastened to the wind deflector?
It's not so much how the boat enclosure is fastened to the windshield by the snaps, as it is what methods were used or not used to stop the rain from getting up underneith the plastic.
A rain gasket would have been helpful and still can be installed. A fabricator will have to remove the snaps and re-install them after the gasket has been sewn in.
There are a few products on the market that can be sewn in and different shops use differnet gaskets, but by far the best is
Xtreme seal boat gasket. It's a very soft flexible gasket and stops the rain completely from working it's way up under the boat enclosure. Hope this helps, thanks for the question.
